“Ascended Masters are great spiritual teachers and healers, most of whom lived as humans upon the earth. They’re powerful guides who can help you understand your life’s purpose, muster the courage to make significant changes, and develop your psychic and manifestation abilities. Each ascended master has specialties such as healing, manifesting, ascension, relationships, and so forth. They come from every religion and culture, and they’re nondenominational. You don’t need special training or experience to gain their help.” This is taken from Doreen Virtue’s introduction to working with the Ascended Master cards. I asked the Masters to share their wisdom with us during this season of light. They asked me to work with the first five cards from the top of the deck. The following comes from each of five Ascended Masters:

1}  White Buffalo Calf Woman: Peace Offering. Peace on earth, good will to men, comes to mind during this time of year. Peace brings light into the world. This card is an intervention between two people who are possibly involved in a disagreement of some sort. It is encouraging them to give up the fight and come to a compromise that will benefit both parties. It encourages them to be open to the other’s point of view and be willing to forgive and forget. Compassion for another can work toward healing this situation. Doreen tells us, “White Buffalo Calf Woman is a prophetess who appeared to the Lakota Native Americans. She presented the Lakotas with a special pipe to amplify the power of their prayers and to bridge a connection between Earth and Heaven. As she turned to leave the tribe, she turned into a buffalo of different colors to signify the unity of all races of humanity. She promised that she would return to help bring unity and peace to Earth. The sign of her return would be the birth of a white buffalo calf. Call upon White Buffalo Calf Woman to instill harmony into your relationships and for world peace.”

2) Thoth: Write. This is the time of year where writing can be so beneficial. Many people send greetings to friends and relatives with whom they may have lost touch, catching them up with events that may have occurred over the year. It is also a perfect time to write about all those tangible and intangible things in your life for which you are grateful. Writing can be cathartic and can help clarify and focus your attention on what’s important. It sheds light on a subject.. So make it informal, but also make it a priority. Doreen says,,”Thoth (usually pronounced Te-HO-tet) is the Egyptian god of writing, manifestation, astronomy, and esoteric arts. He’s an aspect of Hermes, the teacher of the Hermetic principles of alchemy and Divine magic who had many incarnations. He’s considered the originator of written languages, and was a prolific author and scribe of the ascended gods. Call upon Thoth for help with any writing project, or to gain a deeper understanding and proficiency with manifestation principles.”

3) Serapis Bey: Go Now. This card is a signal to either move toward or away from something. It is asking you to shine light on a part of your life that needs attending. Examine your life to determine if there is a situation you must take care of, or one that you must let go. You may include this in your writing, to help bring into focus how you should proceed. Doreen mentions, “Serapis Bey is an Egyptian god of ascension and a bridge between Heaven and Earth. He’s the ultimate life coach who motivates people to take good care of themselves physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Call upon Serapis Bey whenever you need additional energy and motivation to take action.”

4) Lady Nada: Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter. The women in one’s life often bring the touch of love to those around them. When we block that gift for any reason, we dim the light that is so important to us. Consider if you are in a relationship with a woman where there is a strain. Examine your mind and heart to explore how this relationship can be improved, and how you can shine light on it to help it be more satisfying for both. Doreen mentions, “Lady Nada is an ascended master who works with Saint-Germain and Archangel Michael to help bring about balance of the male and female energies in the world. Her name signifies the beautiful sound of the void of silence, where peace is found. You can call upon Lady Nada to help you find peace with both females and males in your life, and also to harmonize and balance masculine and feminine energies within yourself.”

5) Pallas Athena: Detach from Drama. Drama in life can be quite exciting. It is very easy to be drawn into the dramatic events around us. Unfortunately, many such dramas bring our energies and emotions down to a level that often feels uncomfortable. Drama energies tend to block the light in our life that is nourishing and uplifting. When there is drama around us, it is usually due to feeding the egos of those who are involved. Dramas are only stories that people make up. To detach, look at it as a movie or play. Consider it entertainment, and expect it to have a happy ending, even if it is not immediately apparent. Attaching oneself to drama feeds the lower energies that are involved. Shine your light to encourage others to do the same. Doreen tells us, “Pallas Athena is the Grecian goddess of wisdom who became the patroness of Athens in a contest with the ocean god Poseidon. The term Pallas is one often given to Greek deities, and her more common name is simply Athena. She’s a war goddess who uses wisdom instead of weapons to win conflicts. Call upon Pallas Athena for help with any conflict, or any situation calling for wisdom.”

This time of year has the least amount of daylight. Many religions celebrate the holidays with candles to bring light into the world literally and figuratively. The Ascended Masters who contributed their wisdom here encourage us to look for the light in our individual lives, but also in the world. When we have a hard time finding it, it is up to us to see how we can bring it out. The Masters gave us many ways to do just that. When we struggle with any situation, calling on one or more of the Masters can be strengthening and helpful. We often call upon God, and the angels to help us. The Ascended Masters are another source to tap into. Namaste.
