IMG_1161January, first month of a new year, is the perfect time to incorporate healthy habits back into our lives. The holidays often throw our better habits off, so let’s take a little bit of time to examine the advice Archangel Raphael sends. I used the Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue, PhD for this reading. As I shuffled the cards, I asked if Archangel Raphael would offer suggestions to us for maintaining a healthy life. I was guided to set down five cards for this reading, which follows.

1.  Have Faith: This statement is very simply put, but can be quite profound. Have faith in ourselves, as we listen to our inner guidance. Trust that what you feel is right for you, actually is. This holds for all areas of life.

a. Physical health certainly is very important. Maintaining good eating habits, as well as getting enough sleep and exercise is crucial. They all contribute to a positive state of mind. Know that to be true.

b. Emotional health contributes greatly to our lives as well. It is good to check in with ourself. Are we feeling positive or negative? Happy or not happy? Positivity and happiness boost our immune system. Negativity and unhappiness bring our energies down. All contributes to our general health. We must trust in our emotions to point us in the right direction.

c. Mental health relies a great deal on how we feel physically and emotionally. Our decision-making and productivity are influenced by the ups and downs in life. Try to keep a positive perspective. If we can’t, we should try to change our perspective. Nothing is set in stone. There are many outcomes possible in any situation. Look for the most positive. Accept what is and work from there.

d. Spiritual health is an undeniable belief and trust in God (Source, the Creator, Yahweh, the Void, the Universe, Oneness). It is a trust that our inner knowing, our intuition, is the direct link to God, and can not be severed. It is what helps us to maintain our health on the other three levels, so we can live the best life possible. Spiritual health is not perfection. As humans, it is up to us to strive to do the best we can, but there will always be challenges to meet. Relying on God to assist us makes it easier.

2.  Exercise is Key: Keeping our bodies physically healthy is the basis for a high quality of life. Exercise plays an important part. In olden days, exercise was a part of life. Feeding, sheltering, and protecting oneself automatically incorporated exercise into daily routines. Our present life does not necessarily include workouts. We have a choice to be active or not. When maintaining our bodies from an early age, we are more apt to stay healthy as we age. So we should try to find or configure a program that fits our schedule, interests, and budget. Stay fit.

3.  Children: Sometimes the best way to help ourselves is by helping others. Children are spontaneous and carefree when allowed to be in their natural state. Playing and helping children is a wonderful way of moving beyond our own concerns. Children offer us an opportunity to be child-like ourselves, which is a positive, happy state of being. Even short amounts of playtime with children is helpful to both us and them on all levels.

4.  Second Opinion:When there comes a time that our physical health is compromised, Archangel Raphael recommends seeking out a competent healthcare provider for help. Doctors, naturopaths, osteopaths, therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, energy healers, and the like, can all help in some capacity. Each situation is different and may need a different approach for the resolution of the problem. Being open to alternative, or multiple, healing modalities can make a big difference.

5.  Use Your Natural Healing Abilities: It is good to always consider our natural ability to heal ourselves. Our body has pretty much everything it needs to take care of itself as long as it is healthy. Allowing our bodies to heal naturally is beneficial. It may take longer than “popping a pill”, but be better in the long run. Too many medicines introduce poisons into the system that not only knock out germs that are harmful, but include natural agents that provide a first line of defense. Healing naturally is not always the way to go. When seriously ill, we should use whatever it takes to help ourselves get better.

Archangel Raphael sends you this advice to start your year off well. Use whatever resonates with you in your quest to enjoy a happy, healthy life. Namaste
